Steamed Buns (Xiao Long Bao)
The Steamed Buns of Nan Xiang Town are very famous, boasting recognition for over 100 years. It features a thin, chewy outer layer and is filled with delectable stuffing that earn high praise from customers. The filling of Xiao Long Bao in Nan Xiang Town is mainly made of pork and pork skin jelly, seasoned with bruised ginger, salt and sugar. The steamed Xiao Long Bao is made with non-raised fine flour.


Chicken Porridge (Ji Rou Zhou)
As its name suggests, chicken porridge is made with chicken soup as its main ingredient. This porridge can be found in many restaurants, among which Xiao Shao Xing restaurant is the most famous. Chicken porridge in Xiao Shao Xing is very authentic and delicious.

Steamed Crab (Da Zha Xie)
Da Zha Xie is a special type of crab that can be found in the river. Steamed Crab is a traditional dish in Shanghai. The crab is tied by ropes or strings, placed in bamboo container and steamed. Few ingredients are actually added to the dish. When eating, the vinegar is used as baste.

The well-known Xie Ke Huang Pan Cake in Shanghai was created in the 1920s. Taking the shape of crab carapace, Xie Ke Huang is crispy and delicious.
